Let’s admit it, university is an important part of your life. No matter how rough the days may be, you can’t help but feel thankful that you are getting a  higher education. Here are 5 reasons why I love the University of Karachi:

The Independence

In university, you are free to do what ever the crap you want. With all that independence, you learn to become a little more responsible.

The Teachers

Yup. I said it. UoK has some really great teachers who are willing to bestow their heaven sent knowledge upon you. What are the signs of these great teachers? They are humble and down-to-earth. Additionally, you will meet a bunch of great people like your friends and classmates. Try to learn something from everybody you meet.

It’s Vastness

The University is HUGE. And I mean huge. That being said, there are plenty of places for you to explore. I love taking long walks around the varsity (when it’s not summer and I am not drenched in sweat)

The Food

So, I’m a huge fan of the ice-cream wala who stands near the girl’s cafeteria. However, I don’t understand all the hype about those bite-sized samosas. Never really liked them.

Endless Opportunities

There are dozens of libraries and classes around the varsity. Stop fooling around for once and learn something. Want to learn a new language? Consider getting a certificate or diploma by enrolling your self in a language class. You can choose from Arabic, Bengali, Chinese etc. (Ps. University students get an extra discount that is worth availing)

So, I’ve you’re a student of KU, make the most out of it. You have your entire life to complain about the hot weather and the crappy seats. Enjoy it while you can.
